Ford Street Studios, an artist live/work loft community developed in 1987, is a collection of fifty loft apartments and artist day-studios. The building is walking distance to BART and there is plenty of shopping nearby. One mile from the Alameda beach and Trader Joes (which is in a large shopping complex with grocery stores, bookstores, etc.), a few blocks from Alameda's organic market complex.
